What this is measuring
Modelled long-run annual averages — 2005 meteorology, Climate TRACE
total-2025 emissions; what these sources add, not total air quality. Shipping & aviation
left out (a whole voyage is recorded at one dock), and so is the low-confidence food-and-drink
sector. The modelled grid is the lattice of fine lines
(257 cells); everything dimmed sits outside it.
Land and water tones are a plain basemap (Natural Earth coastline) drawn so the Bay is
recognisable — nothing on this page is measured from them, and it shows the sea, not lakes:
Tomales Bay, the Delta channels, Lake Berryessa and the reservoirs are drawn as land.
