What the buttons and the dots mean
Lower, Mid, Upper. Lower and Upper come from independent published work; Midpoint is an interpolation we drew, not a modelled result. Upper is a bound on the range, not a central estimate.
Plant is the individual coal-fired unit, named. Cell is one grid cell of the InMAP air-quality model; County and State group those cells together. Plant is the most granular level available here — start there, and aggregate up when the coarser view is what the question needs.
What one plant's Δ means. Every plant here is a large, publicly-reporting coal-fired generating unit, and its emissions are Climate TRACE's own published per-asset figures. The repeal Δ shown against it is this prototype's emissions-weighted share of a national total, not a plant-specific regulatory determination — so read a single plant's Δ as its slice of the cluster, not as a forecast for that plant.
The individual dots (the tick-box below). Each dot is one plant. In Cell, County or State view they show what sits inside each grouped marker; in Plant view they simply mark the same units the markers already draw. Click any marker to name it.
